Have your say!
Okay, after some server hiccups and other madness (the full detailed horror of which I am charmingly sparing you), you'll see that it's now possible to talk back should you wish.
I hope that some clever persons (*ahem* they know who they are) will assist me in developing a better and more useful commenting system, because it distresses me to leave your wonderful words languishing in someone else's database on someone else's server. Can' t have that, no no no!
Anyway, once I've ironed out a few of the remaining kinks in WebMerge (it can't seem to remember filepaths, which is a tad irritating), and complete the automation process (get out the AppleScript, baby!), I should be able to stop obsessing about the "how" and get back to more of the "what" ~ including poor Dennis who has been sorely neglected and is now rather severely behind schedule.

My DSL went down...
...and I feel lost and confused! Yes, of course I could switch to dial-up, but how retro is that?!
It's amazing how quickly we become dependent on our little conveniences.

Miss SJ at I, Asshole is wicked funny.
Today she made me laugh outloud: The SJ Alexander Model of Offering Information To The Questioner, In Order To Ascertain The True Nature of Their Need.

Here's a rant I can get behind
Melly holds forth on some of the narcissistic pitfalls of blogging, and offers some fierce advice on getting a bit of perspective:
It is possible to be kind. It is possible to be respectful and humble. It is possible to appreciate those blogs that you enjoy and it is possible to turn the other cheek to blogs that you don't.

What the doctor ordered
For all of you looking for a prescription for a healthy and happy life, I give you wise words from Horst Prilliger:
So all you people out there, I have some grim news for you: You're all going to die someday. Obsessing over how to expand your life for a few days or months only takes the fun out of living. Instead I suggest that you concentrate on how to live the little time that you have to the fullest. I had a close spell with death once, and when I left hospital I asked one of the doctors what I should do now. He said, "Relax. Take things easy. Avoid stress. Have fun. Don't think about not getting sick, think about living. That's the best thing to keep you healthy."
